Christopher Mills is Wilson Family LEO Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame and member of the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO). His research focuses on labor and public economics, using experiments and linked administrative data to study human-algorithm interaction in public service delivery and investments in children and families.
He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Princeton University in 2023 and holds a B.A. from Cornell University. Current projects examine intergenerational transmission of child maltreatment and racial disparities in child protection systems.
Professor Mills teaches Data Analytics and Economic Evaluation for Social Impact, and has served as instructor for Introduction to Microeconomics and Advanced Econometrics courses. His work has been presented at AEA conferences and published in leading journals.
