Christopher Manzione is an Associate Professor in Visual Arts and Technology at Stevens Institute of Technology. His interdisciplinary work spans sculpture, augmented reality, virtual reality installations, and digital public art. He founded the Virtual Public Art Project (2010), creating site-specific augmented reality artworks accessible globally. His research explores the intersection of digital technology and physical space through interactive installations.
Research interests focus on immersive media technologies, including VR environments that examine ecological awareness and spatial perception. His artistic practice investigates how digital interfaces transform public space experiences.
Recent works demonstrate innovation in 3D scanning applications, photogrammetry, and ambient sound integration in virtual installations. Publications examine new media ecologies and hybrid physical-digital art experiences.
