Christopher M. Miller

Dr. Christopher M. Miller is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Akron's College of Engineering and Polymer Science. He joined UA in 1995 and holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa (1995). His research focuses on water quality modeling, drinking water treatment optimization, corrosion prevention in winter maintenance equipment, and sustainable waste management. He has served as a consultant, expert witness, and business owner since 1997, alongside his academic role. Dr. Miller is a Professional Engineer (P.E.), former member of the U.S. Army Reserve (13 years), and recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and the College of Engineering's Outstanding Teacher Award (2012). He also contributed to corrosion prevention research for U.S. Department of Defense systems.
