Christopher Levesque serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Kenyon College, joining the institution in July 2023. He teaches foundational and advanced courses including Introduction to Legal Studies (LGLS 110), Crimmigration Law (LGLS 310), and Quantitative Research Methods (SOCY 372).
His educational background includes:

- Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University (2013)
Dr. Levesque employs mixed-methods approaches to investigate U.S. immigration law's societal impacts, with concentrated focus on detention systems, courtroom proceedings, and emerging enforcement technologies. His scholarship examines intersections between criminal and immigration law that reveal broader mechanisms of social control, demographic transformation, and barriers to legal access within American jurisprudence.
Prior to his Kenyon appointment, he maintained significant policy-engaged roles as an affiliate of the University of Minnesota Law School’s Binger Center for New Americans and predoctoral trainee at the Minnesota Population Center. His professional experience extends to consulting work with Advocates for Human Rights and Migration Policy Institute, demonstrating direct engagement with immigration advocacy and policy analysis.
