معرفی
Christopher L. Moore, MD, is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Chief of the Section of Emergency Ultrasound and Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. Dr. Moore’s expertise lies in diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasound and CT scans, with a focus on optimizing their use in emergency settings. His research includes developing the STONE score for ureteral stone prediction and advancing AI-driven lung ultrasound solutions for conditions like COVID-19. He holds academic appointments at Yale School of Medicine’s Emergency Medicine Department and leads the Yale Point-of-care Ultrasound Council (YPUC).
Education: MD from University of Virginia School of Medicine (1998), residency at Carolinas Medical Center (2001), and fellowship in emergency ultrasound at Resurrection Medical Center (2002).
Research Interests: Reducing CT overutilization, bedside ultrasound applications, and AI integration in emergency diagnostics. His work spans kidney stone management, pulmonary embolism evaluation, and radiation safety protocols.
Recent Research Trends: His publications emphasize AI’s role in improving diagnostic accuracy (e.g., lung nodule detection via NLP) and optimizing ultrasound protocols for conditions like heart failure and respiratory infections. Collaborations include deep learning advancements for echocardiography quality assessment.
Awards: Includes the Alvin Feinstein Award for Clinical Teaching (2016), SAEM Best Faculty Presentation (2013), and recognition as a Fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (2013).
Education & Mentorship: Oversees ultrasound training for medical students, residents, and fellows. Directs national CME conferences and has lectured globally. Leads the Yale Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program and chairs the YPUC.
Grants & Funding: Supported by AHRQ (reducing CT use) and BARDA (AI in lung ultrasound). Active in translational research bridging imaging innovation and clinical practice.
Labs/Teams: Directs the Emergency Ultrasound Section and collaborates with multidisciplinary groups like the YPUC to enhance point-of-care ultrasound standards across Yale New Haven Hospital.
