Christopher Gould is Professor of Physics at USC and co-leads the Ultralow Temperature Physics group. His research examines quantum phenomena in superfluid helium-3 at temperatures near absolute zero, using precision thermodynamic and hydrodynamic measurements.
Gould directs instrumentation development for quantum sensing, including SQUID-based detectors. He has received the Sloan Research Fellowship and multiple teaching awards.
He chairs judging for international science fairs and advises on science education initiatives.
