Christopher Collison

Christopher Collison is a Professor in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), holding the Jane King Harris Endowed Professorship. He also serves as Director of RIT's AI Hub and Initiatives. His research integrates artificial intelligence (particularly large language models and autonomous agents) with chemistry and materials science, focusing on molecular behavior, drug development, and photovoltaic advancements. Collison earned his BS and Ph.D. from Imperial College London, UK.

Recent projects address exciton diffusion dynamics and nanomaterials for solar energy applications.

Teaching & Leadership: Collison teaches advanced courses in chemistry and materials science, including CHEM-171 (Advanced General Chemistry), CHEM-489 (Special Topics), and MTSE-790 (Research & Thesis). His leadership in the AI Hub drives interdisciplinary AI initiatives at RIT.
