Christopher Chiu

Prof. Christopher Chiu is a Professor of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on respiratory viral infections (RSV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2), pathogenesis, and vaccine development. He leads the CEPI-HERA MusICC consortium and the Imperial Network for Vaccine Research, collaborating internationally on vaccines and human challenge studies. His work combines clinical trials with experimental medicine techniques to study immune responses, particularly mucosal and systemic immunity.
