Dr. Christopher Brennan-Jones is a Clinical Professor at the University of Western Australia's Medical School, affiliated with the Telethon Kids Institute and Perth Children's Hospital. His roles include Head of Ear Health at Telethon Kids, Co-Lead of the Raine Study Senses Group, and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Audiology. He holds an NHMRC Fellowship and has led over $4.5M in grants.
Education: PhD in Telehealth (2016, UWA), Clinical Audiology qualification (2013, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh). Notable awards include the WA Premier’s Science Award (2016) and Woodside STEM Award (2020).
Research focuses on otitis media, hearing loss in Indigenous children, telehealth innovations, and evidence synthesis. Over 85 peer-reviewed publications, including Cochrane reviews on chronic otitis media interventions. Active in global health committees like the World Health Organization’s World Hearing Forum.
Teaching: Guest lectures in clinical audiology at UWA and supervises research students. Leads multidisciplinary research groups like the Children's Hearing Research Group (20+ clinicians).
