Christophe Hauert

Christophe Hauert is a Senior Researcher at the University of Lausanne's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and General Secretary of the Swiss Cybersecurity Label (cyber-safe.ch), focusing on practical cybersecurity resilience for SMEs and municipalities.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Political Science, University of Lausanne (Thesis: "The participation of consumers to the construction of the authority of international standards. Towards an international political economy of translation?")

His research examines consumer influence in international standardization through political economy frameworks, extending to cybersecurity policy development. Current work centers on operationalizing the cyber-safe.ch label to strengthen organizational defenses against cyber threats.

Hauert previously served as Lecturer in International Political Economy at UNIL and Advisor on standardization at the European Trade Union Confederation (2015-2016). He directed the INTERNORM project (2010-2014), funded by UNIL to advance civil society engagement in international standardization processes.
