Christoph-Th. Scheilke serves as an Honorary Professor specializing in interreligious and intercultural education/religious education. His academic work bridges theology, education, and sociology with a focus on inclusive pedagogical practices.
He earned his foundational education at Uhland-Gymnasium in Tübingen (1966), followed by Protestant theology, education, and sociology studies at the University of Tübingen (1967-1972). He completed his first theological examination in 1972, doctorate in 1975, and second theological examination in 1990.
Research interests emphasize educational research with specific expertise in intercultural and interreligious learning dynamics, school development processes, teacher training methodologies, and context-specific religious education—particularly within vocational school settings. His work integrates empirical studies with theological frameworks to address diversity in educational environments.
Professional roles include research assistant at the University of Tübingen's Institute of Educational Science (1972-1980), director of studies at Bad Boll Protestant Academy (1980-1989), vicar at Jakobus Tübingen (1989-1990), and director of the Pedagogical-Theological Center of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg (from late 2002). He co-founded and serves as deputy board member of the German Comenius Society.
