Christine Trampusch is a Professor of International Comparative Political Economy and Economic Sociology at the Cologne Center for Comparative Politics (CCCP), University of Cologne. She also serves as the Liaison Chair to the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. Her research focuses on the social and political foundations of labor and financial markets in advanced capitalist democracies. Key interests include the political economy of public debt, varieties of capitalism, migration impacts on skill systems, and challenges posed by digitalization to industrial relations and policy.
Current projects include the third-party funded GOVPET: Governance in Vocational and Professional Education and Training, examining the political economy of financial markets and welfare state dynamics. She is not currently available as an advisor for new IMPRS doctoral students in 2025.

Her affiliations and leadership in cross-institutional projects underscore her role as a leading scholar in comparative political economy.
