Michael Kemmerling

Dr. Michael Kemmerling is a political economist affiliated with the University of Cologne's Cologne Center for Comparative Politics (CCCP) and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. His research focuses on business power dynamics in digital capitalism, examining how digitalization impacts corporate political strategies, preferences, and regulatory engagement. He holds an affiliation with the International Max Planck Research School on Social, Political and Cultural Change (IMPRS-SPCE).

Teaching includes courses such as The Political Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany (BA Seminar) and Comparative Political Economy: Theories and Methods (MA Lecture).
