Christine Haught is an Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on mathematical logic, recursion theory, and complexity theory, supported by National Science Foundation grants. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University and advanced degrees (M.S. in Computer Science, Ph.D. in Mathematics) from Cornell University. Dr. Haught has delivered invited talks at prestigious institutions, including the University of Chicago and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute. She was honored as a Master Teacher by Loyola's Sujack Committee in 1998.
Her professional service includes directing the NSF-sponsored Young Scholars Project, the Alliance for Minority Participation (providing internships to minority science students), and Tech37 high school programs. She currently advises Loyola's Math Club and previously led the Society of Women Engineers chapter. Dr. Haught has held a Dickson Instructorship and NSF Fellowship at the University of Chicago.
Research highlights include publications in top journals like the Journal of Mathematical Logic and Transactions of the A.M.S.. Her work bridges theoretical computer science and foundational mathematics, emphasizing interdisciplinary applications.
