Christine Chew holds an honorary academic post at the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation and is a NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at the University of Bristol's School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. She is also undertaking Paediatric Rheumatology subspecialty training at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Her research focuses on immune cells in tissues, autoimmune diseases, and pediatric uveitis. She completed her PhD (2021) at the University of Manchester under Professors Tracy Hussell and Rachel Lennon, investigating kidney macrophages in autoimmune diseases.

Research Interests: Designing treatments for autoimmune conditions by studying immune cells in inflamed tissues. Key focuses include kidney macrophages, pediatric uveitis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Funded by NIHR CRN Children/Versus Arthritis and FAIR UK.
Awards: Best Oral Abstract Presentation (2020) at the British Society of Matrix Biology Conference.
