Christine Buckley is an Associate Professor of Biology and Biomedical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She holds a PhD (1994) and MS (1990) from Northwestern University and a BS (1988) from Duke University. Her research focuses on mechanical conditions in bone surrounding total joint prostheses, biomaterials for orthopedic implants, and tissue engineering. She previously worked at LifeCell Corporation (biological tissue research) and Regeneration Products as a project engineer (1998-1999).
Teaching interests include biomaterials, orthopedic implants, and tissue engineering in both biomedical and mechanical engineering programs. She serves as affiliate director for Project Lead The Way, leading K-12 STEM outreach initiatives at Rose-Hulman.
