Christina Tsoraki is a Researcher (Postdoctoral Research Associate) at the University of Leicester, based in the School of Archaeology and Ancient History. She currently contributes to the Leverhulme-funded 'A New History of Bronze' project, specializing in material culture studies, lithic technology, and microwear analysis. Her research interests encompass object histories, cross-craft interactions, depositional practices, and household archaeology, with a focus on prehistoric contexts.
Previously, she served as a Marie Curie Intra-European Research Fellow (2013–2017) and held a fixed-term lecturing role in Material Culture Studies at Leiden University's Faculty of Archaeology. She has been deeply involved in archaeological projects across Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, and Britain, examining topics such as Neolithic plant processing in Anatolia, Minoan craft technologies, goldworking in Early Bronze Age Britain, and household activities in Archaic Greece.
Between 2012 and 2018, Tsoraki was the Head of the Ground Stone Research Team for the Çatalhüyük Research Project (Turkey). Her work bridges technical analyses of tools with broader cultural and social interpretations of ancient lifeways.
