Christina Moore serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric and Associate Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Oakland University, roles she has held since August 2022 and September 2022 respectively. Her career at Oakland spans over a decade, including previous positions as Virtual Faculty Developer and Media Manager at CETL, and Special Lecturer in Writing and Rhetoric.
Her educational background features a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, M.A. in English, and B.A. in English, all earned at Oakland University.
Moore's research centers on educational technology integration, writing pedagogy, and online learning environments. She champions inclusive teaching practices through frameworks like Universal Design for Learning and digital accessibility standards. Her scholarship emphasizes practical applications, exemplified by her book Mobile-Mindful Teaching and Learning: Harnessing the Technology Students Use Most, which explores leveraging student-owned devices for pedagogical innovation. At CETL, she designs professional development addressing neurodiversity, flexible teaching approaches, and community-building in digital spaces.
She organizes flagship university initiatives including the Teaching and Learning Symposium (2023-2024), New Faculty Orientation Events (2022-2024), and DEI Common Learning Experience (2024), while facilitating workshops on alternative grading, hybrid instruction, and student engagement strategies.
