Christina Conlee is a Professor and Department Chair of Anthropology at Texas State University. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.A. from UC Santa Cruz. Her research explores dynamics of complex societies, imperial collapse, and Andean archaeology, with active projects in Peru (Huaca del Loro) and Oregon (Pine Creek).
Her publications focus on Wari imperialism, Nasca cultural evolution, and archaeological methodologies. Notable works analyze colonization patterns, ceramic production, and isotopic evidence of population movements. Research integrates ceramic analysis, stable isotopes, and spatial studies to examine state formation and cultural resilience.
Courses taught span archaeological theory, Andean civilizations, and artifact analysis, including ANTH 2415 (Introduction to Archaeology) and ANTH 5345 (Ceramic Analysis).
