Christina Bellantoni

Christina Bellantoni is a Professor of Professional Practice of Journalism and Director of USC Annenberg’s Media Center. She holds affiliations with the Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy as a faculty fellow. Her career spans over 20 years in political journalism, including roles as editor-in-chief of Roll Call, political editor at PBS NewsHour, and assistant managing editor at the LA Times. She has freelanced as a digital strategy consultant and contributing editor at The 19th News.

Her expertise includes civic engagement, media industries, and persuasion in politics. Bellantoni has received national awards for breaking news coverage and has appeared on major networks like CNN, MSNBC, and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. She serves on boards for the Riverside Record and Hunter Index nonprofits and previously held roles at the Washington Press Club Foundation.

Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as Advanced Digital Media Storytelling and Government/Public Affairs Reporting. She emphasizes innovative journalism practices and media literacy in her academic and professional work.
