Dr. Christina Beckord is a Senior Lecturer at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Sociology, Department of Methods of Empirical Social Research, where she specializes in quantitative research methods with a focus on criminological studies. She has served as Project Coordinator for the DFG-funded longitudinal study "Crime in the Modern City (CrimoC)" since May 2014 and was appointed Senior Academic Councillor in May 2020 under Prof. Dr. Jost Reinecke.
Her educational background includes a Diploma in Sociology from Bielefeld University (2004), a Doctorate from Bielefeld University focusing on "learning processes and juvenile delinquency" (2013), and a Habilitation from Bielefeld University on "Violent upbringing and its (intergenerational) consequences" (2023).
