Christina Anderson

Christina Anderson is an acclaimed playwright, television writer, screenwriter, and educator whose work has been produced at major theaters including Berkeley Rep, Goodman Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Portland Center Stage, and Yale Rep. She received a Tony Award nomination for Outstanding Book of a Broadway musical for Paradise Square and won the 2022 Horton Foote Prize for excellence in American Theatre.

As an educator, Anderson has taught playwriting at Rutgers University, SUNY Purchase, Wesleyan University, and Yale School of Drama, serving as interim Head of Playwriting at Brown University. She is also an accomplished photographer whose work has been described as 'compelling' and 'poignant,' and since 2019 has produced hip hop instrumentals under the moniker Purely Magenta.
