Christie Koontz is an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University's College of Communication & Information (CCI), serving as director of GeoLib. Her research focuses on optimizing library services through spatial market analysis, culminating in the U.S. Public Library Geographic Database integrating census and library use data from 16,000 communities. She teaches marketing, online storytelling, and advises graduate internships. Koontz has been recognized for research contributions and led the ALA Student Chapter to a national title in 2012.
