Christie Bennett is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food at Monash University's School of Clinical Sciences. Her expertise spans eating disorders, health professional education, and women's health. She holds a PhD in Pregnancy Nutrition from Monash University, focusing on sleep during pregnancy. Bennett has been awarded the Nestlé Nutrition Institute Young Researcher of the Year (2018) and a 2023 School of Clinical Sciences Career Development Fellowship for investigating client input in healthcare education.
Her research emphasizes lived experience integration, particularly in curricula development for dietetics and healthcare students. Key projects include exploring eating disorders in fertility care and improving inclusivity in nutrition education. She actively participates in committees like the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease Australia and New Zealand Council and has presented at conferences such as Lifestyle Medicine 2020.
