معرفی
Christiane Fuchs is a Professor of Data Science at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Bielefeld University (since 2018). She concurrently serves as Research Group Leader (Biostatistics) at Helmholtz Munich's Institute of Computational Biology (since 2016) and Head of the Core Facility Statistical Consulting (Helmholtz Munich, since 2017). Her research focuses on applying statistical methods to dynamic processes, Bayesian inference, and uncertainty quantification, with applications in medicine, environmental science, and societal challenges. She leads interdisciplinary projects involving stochastic differential equations and single-cell data analysis.
Education:
- Dr. rer. nat. in Statistics, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (2010)
- M.Sc. in Computational Mathematics, Brunel University London (2003)
- German Diplom (eq. M.Sc.) in Mathematics & Computer Science, University of Hanover (2005)
Teaching & Leadership: Taught courses on computational biology, statistical learning, and generalized regression models at TU Munich, LMU Munich, and Bielefeld University. Leads the Biostatistics Group at Helmholtz Munich and the Data Science Group at Bielefeld University, fostering multinational collaborations. Operates the Statistical Consulting Core Facility, supporting researchers in data analysis.
Research Focus: Specializes in stochastic modeling of biological systems, Bayesian methods for dynamic processes, and analyzing single-cell regulatory heterogeneity. Her work bridges theory and application, aiming to translate data-driven insights into practical solutions for health and environmental science.
