Christiane Dumont is a Teaching Stream Associate Professor in French Studies at York University, currently on sabbatical until June 2024. She specializes in experiential education approaches for language acquisition, developing innovative programs connecting students with Francophone communities globally.
Research Focus: Community-engaged language learning, technology-enhanced pedagogy for less-commonly taught cultures, and intercultural communication frameworks.
Education: Professional Master's in Second Language Pedagogy (Université Blaise Pascal), MA in FSL French Semantics (Western Ontario).
