Dominique Scheffel-Dunand is an Associate Professor in the Department of French Studies at York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. She co-leads the York University FSL Hub Camerise, a non-profit initiative focused on creating inclusive French-as-a-second-language (FSL) educational resources. Her academic background includes a PhD in Linguistics from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and the University of Toronto, an M.A. and DEA (Master's equivalent) in Linguistics from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, and a B.A. in English Literature and Civilization.

Through the Camerise initiative, she works to support bilingual and plurilingual Canadians through accessible educational tools.
