Christian-Yann ROBERT is a Professor of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences at the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances (ISFA), Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, since 2023. Previously, he held professorial roles at ENSAE-CREST (2019-2023) and ISFA (2010-2019), along with academic positions at CNAM and ENSAE.

- 1998-2001: Ph.D. in applied mathematics, University Paris Diderot
- 1997-1998: Postgraduate degree in Statistics, University Paris Diderot

His research focuses on Extreme Value Theory, Actuarial Sciences, Statistical Finance, and Statistical Learning, with applications in risk modeling and financial statistics. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries (2010). His career includes leadership roles such as Director of ISFA and Director of Graduate Studies at the Centre d’Etudes Actuarielles.
