Christian Volkmar Witt is a Professor of Church History I (Reformation History and Middle Ages) and Director of the Institute for Late Middle Ages and Reformation at the Faculty of Protestant Theology, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. He has held this position since October 2023 and previously served as interim chairholder (2021-2023). A Heisenberg Fellow (DFG, 2018-2023), Witt specializes in medieval and early modern theological order theories, marital/sexual ethics, and historiographical concepts of time.
