Dr. Christian Sieg is a Visiting Professor and research fellow affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence 'Religion and Politics' at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. He previously served as Max Kade Professor at Georgetown University during Spring 2015.
His research examines 20th/21st century literature, culture, and philosophy, with current work focused on political authorship in post-war Germany. He holds a PhD from Stanford University (2008) and has published extensively on German modernism, including the monograph 'The Ordinary in the Novel of German Modernism' (2011).
At Georgetown University, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses including 'Radio Voices: Postwar Germany' (GERM-327) and 'Modernism and Modernity' (GERM-735). His interdisciplinary work bridges literary studies, cultural theory, and political philosophy.
