Christian Bueger is a Professor of International Relations at the University of Copenhagen and serves as an Honorary Professor at the University of Seychelles. He is also a Research Fellow at UNIDIR and Director of SafeSeas, a maritime security research network.
His research focuses on maritime security, global ocean politics, and critical maritime infrastructure protection, particularly subsea data cables and offshore renewable energy. He advocates for international cooperation and adaptive governance in regions like the Western Indian Ocean and Baltic Sea.
