Christian Aspalter

Christian Aspalter is a full-time Professor at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna (PH Wien), leading the Institut für Urban Diversity Education (I:UDE). His career began with a Germanistik and Geschichte degree (1997) and a PhD in theater studies (2005). He taught German, History, and research methods in secondary schools before transitioning to academia in 2013. He directed the Didaktikzentrum für Text- und Informationskompetenz (2014–2023) and now heads I:UDE, focusing on urban diversity and educational innovation.
