Christian A. Vossler is the J. Fred Holly Chair of Excellence in the Department of Economics at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business. He serves as Director of the Master's Program in Economics and Director of the UT Experimental Economics Laboratory. His research focuses on environmental and public economics, non-market valuation, pollution control, and social preferences.
- Education: PhD from Cornell University; B.S. in Environmental and Resource Sciences from the University of Nevada; M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Oregon State University.
His experimental economics research investigates topics like income inequality, labor contracts, group contests, environmental regulation, and self-image preferences. The UT Experimental Economics Laboratory, which he directs, utilizes 24 networked computers and external funding from institutions including the Environmental Protection Agency, US Air Force, and Russell Sage Foundation.
