Chrissy Knoll is a Lecturer in the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education at the University of West Georgia's College of Education, serving as Assistant Department Chair for Health and Community Wellness programs. She holds an MS in Physical Education/Sport Management from Florida State University and a BS in Accounting from University of Florida.
Her research focuses on physical activity promotion, exercise leadership, and wellness education across diverse settings including campus recreation, corporate wellness, and community programs. With extensive practical experience, she has directed athletic programs, coached swim teams, and planned community sports events.
Knoll's publications demonstrate consistent focus on campus-based health interventions, particularly the Exercise is Medicine initiative. Recent work explores program implementation frameworks and community wellness models.
Awards include the 2018 College of Education Outstanding Service Award and leading UWG's Exercise is Medicine program to Gold Level recognition. She holds multiple certifications including NCSF Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Exercise is Medicine Specialist, and AHA BLS Instructor.
