Chris Vatsaas

Chris Vatsaas is an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he teaches in the Mentor Externship Program. He practices family law at Tuft, Lach, Jerabek & O'Connell, specializing in divorce, child custody, asset division, and domestic abuse cases. He also serves as a neutral mediator in family law matters, including parenting disputes and financial evaluations. Vatsaas holds a JD from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a BSB from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

His professional engagements include presentations on legal topics such as Orders for Protection and estate planning. He actively contributes to the Twin Cities community through pro bono work with the Volunteer Lawyers Network and serves on the board of the Family Law League. Previously, he chaired the Board of Directors for Cradle of Hope, aiding pregnant mothers in financial crises.

Outside academia and law, Vatsaas is deeply involved in his local parish, enjoys basketball, and supports the Minnesota Gophers.
