Chris Tuppen serves as Visiting Professor of Sustainability at the University of Suffolk's Research Directorate and founder of Advancing Sustainability Ltd. A former Chief Sustainability Officer at BT with over thirty years of experience, he established the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) in 2001 and remains active in global sustainability leadership.
His research and professional work centers on climate change mitigation through net zero strategies and science-based targets, circular economy frameworks for durable products, and sustainable practices within the technology industry. He has pioneered methodologies for measuring circularity through the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and drives cross-sector collaboration on planetary boundaries.
