Chris Scott

Chris Scott is a Clinical Professor at the UNC School of Education, specializing in principal and superintendent leadership preparation. He joined UNC in 2017 after 15 years in public school and district leadership. His roles include teaching, advising graduate students, and designing professional development programs on transformative and instructional leadership internationally.

• Education: Ed.D. (2008) and M.S.A. (2003) in Educational Leadership from UNC-Chapel Hill; B.S. (1995) in Secondary Science and English from Appalachian State University.

Research focuses on academic achievement and ethnic identity development of American Indian students, equity in education, and leadership preparation. He emphasizes social justice, marginalized student experiences, and evidence-based feedback systems.
