Chris Robinson is a Professor of Sociology at Covenant College since 2015. His research focuses on social psychology, the sociology of mission, and cultural anthropology. He holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina, an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary, and a BA from Anderson University.
Dr. Robinson's scholarship explores topics such as religious participation trends, Christian pedagogy in higher education, and the intersection of faith and societal structures. His recent work includes analyses of competing orthodoxies in college classrooms and predictors of religious engagement in the U.S.
Professional contributions span peer-reviewed journals like Journal of Sociology and Christianity and Sociological Spectrum, as well as books examining missionary strategies. Beyond academia, he maintains active interests in running, and enjoys Mexican cuisine and the film Hunt for Red October.
