Chris Reinke is a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the CEA in Grenoble, France since 2025, focusing on Human-Centric Digital Twins and modeling human decision-making. His research interests include learning mechanisms, cognitive science, and developing adaptive algorithms for robots. Prior to CEA, he held postdoctoral positions at Inria Grenoble (RobotLearn team with Xavier Alameda-Pineda) and the Flowers team in Bordeaux under Pierre-Yves Oudeyer. He earned his PhD in Neural Computation at OIST under Kenji Doya, with earlier degrees in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück.
His work bridges theoretical AI with practical applications in robotics and healthcare, emphasizing systems that learn like humans. Notable contributions include research on successor features, meta reinforcement learning, and socially pertinent robotics in healthcare. He developed the exputils library for experiment management and organized events like the SoRAIM Winter School on Social Robotics (2024) and RL@Alpes symposium (2023).
