Chris Luby is an Associate Professor in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan's Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He holds a BA and VetMB from the University of Cambridge (1999, 2002), an MS from the University of Missouri (2006), and a PhD from the University of Saskatchewan (2010). He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
His primary research focuses on bovine mastitis with emphasis on host-pathogen interactions and novel control measures. He teaches food animal production medicine and specializes in dairy production medicine clinically.
Recent publications examine technology adoption patterns, dairy industry demographics, parasite control practices, and genomic analysis of mastitis pathogens. His work combines epidemiological surveys, experimental models, and genomic approaches to improve dairy cattle health management.
