Dr. Chris Kite is a Visiting Research Fellow at Chester Medical School, University of Chester, based at University Centre Shrewsbury. He holds honorary research posts at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire and Coventry University, focusing on exercise interventions for metabolic conditions like PCOS. His roles include lecturer in Health and Exercise Science, module leader for multiple undergraduate programs, and supervisor of postgraduate and PhD students.
Education: BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science (University of Wolverhampton, 2014), MRes Sport (University of Wolverhampton, 2015), PGCE Post-Compulsory Education (2016), PhD in Exercise Science (Aston University, 2021).
Research interests include PCOS management through exercise, metabolic health, psychological wellbeing, and behavior change. Recent work has explored pandemic impacts on mental health, physical activity during lockdowns, and sleep disruption in PCOS patients. Collaborations include international projects and systematic reviews.
Scientific Awards: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2016).
Advising and Grants: Supervised numerous postgraduate projects and dissertation students, partnering with other institutions. Research focuses on exercise interventions for metabolic disorders and women's health.
