Chris Doran

Dr. Chris Doran is a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management at Edge Hill University's Business School. He holds operational roles including Year Head lead for first-year Business and Management students and Co-chair for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). He serves on university committees like the Academic Quality Enhancement Committee (AQEC). Previously, he spent 15 years at the University of Salford in roles such as Department Head of HRM and Strategy Subject Group.

Research focuses on Sustainable Development Goals implementation in universities, ethical codes in SMEs, biophilic workplace design, and innovative teaching methodologies. He supervises PhD students in sustainability-related fields. His recent publications analyze post-pandemic charity shop resilience and technological advancements in hospitality education.

He actively contributed to the UN UK Chapter of PRME, establishing sustainability networks across 50+ institutions. His work bridges business ethics, environmental sustainability, and pedagogical innovation.
