Pål Vik serves as a Senior Research Fellow at Salford Business School, University of Salford, with over 15 years of experience leading externally funded projects focused on financial exclusion, financial inclusion interventions, and microfinance sustainability. He acts as an independent expert for the Finance and Leasing Association Lending Code Group and the European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision Steering Group, while hosting the 'Innovation in Financial Inclusion' podcast to disseminate insights.
His research spans Financial Inclusion, Microfinance, Sustainable Innovation, SME Growth, and Knowledge Exchange, emphasizing practical applications for vulnerable populations and business ecosystems. Vik's work critically examines the effectiveness of financial inclusion programs and microfinance sustainability through empirical project analysis, contributing to policy frameworks and industry standards in financial services.
