Professor Chow Sek Chuen holds the position of Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University Malaysia's School of Science. He joined in 2007 as an Associate Professor and was promoted to Professor in 2011. He also serves as an adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University's Department of Immunology. His research focuses on immunotoxicology, particularly the effects of xenobiotics on T lymphocytes and apoptosis mechanisms. He is a founding member of the Malaysia Society of Toxicology (MySOT) and led the launch of the Malaysia Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MyMAP) Accelerator in 2011.

- Doctor of Medical Science in Immunology, Karolinska Institute (1990)
- Postdoctoral work at Mayo Clinic (US) and MRC Toxicology Unit (UK)
Research Interests:
- Immunomodulatory effects of xenobiotics on T cells
- Apoptosis regulation in immune disorders
- Anti-parasitic drug development for Toxoplasma gondii
- Natural products for wound healing and dermatitis
Recent Projects:
- Lead investigator for projects on aptamer development, air sterilization technology, and breast cancer imaging probes
- Recipient of the Silver Medal for the invention 'Beyond Juice'
Labs/Teams: Directs the MyMAP Accelerator and collaborates on immunotoxicology and parasitology projects.
