Dr. Choaa El-Mohtar is a Research Assistant Scientist in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Florida, working at the Citrus Research and Education Center. Her research focuses on utilizing Citrus Tristeza Virus (CTV) infectious clones to study viral movement and interactions in citrus hosts and to develop therapeutic strategies against Huanglongbing (HLB) and its vector, the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP).
