Dr. Chloe Teasdale is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy. She holds a PhD and MPH from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, and a BA in Political Science from Barnard College. Her research focuses on maternal and child health, adolescent health, global health, and infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on leveraging large datasets to evaluate healthcare interventions for vulnerable populations.
Her work spans multiple continents, including extensive research in South Africa, Kenya, and Mozambique, where she has examined HIV care outcomes for women and children. Notable projects include a differentiated care model for HIV-positive adolescent mothers in Kenya and studies on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pediatric populations and vaccine hesitancy in the U.S. Dr. Teasdale’s methodological expertise includes program evaluation, competing risk analysis, and survey research.
Her recent publications highlight themes such as HIV epidemic control in adolescents across sub-Saharan Africa, post-transplant diabetes outcomes, and public health interventions for masking in schools. She has also contributed to studies on cancer screening disparities among New York City’s Asian communities and the psychosocial impacts of pandemics on mental health.
