Chloe Squires is a PhD candidate in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews, specializing in gendered legal responses to terrorism. Her research examines court processes in England and Wales, focusing on implicit biases influencing the prosecution of male and female terrorism offenders. She holds an AFHEA certificate and serves as Academic Skills Project Coordinator for International Relations.
Her research interests include counter-terrorism, policing, de-radicalisation, and the intersection of gender with criminal justice systems. She has published interdisciplinary work on topics such as barriers to UK criminal justice research, case management interventions for violent extremism, and sentencing disparities in terrorism trials.
