Dr. Chloe Anthony is an Assistant Professor in Law at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, University of Sussex. Her research focuses on environmental law, governance frameworks for nature restoration, and post-Brexit UK legal reforms, with a particular emphasis on collaborative governance and ecological-social integration.

Chloe teaches undergraduate modules including Foundations of Environmental Law, International Environmental Law, and Biodiversity and Natural Resources Law. She leads the Housing Law Clinic and co-leads the Environmental Justice Law Clinic, while also supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
Her recent publications analyze the UK’s post-Brexit environmental governance challenges, local nature recovery strategies, and the interplay between trade and climate policy. She has collaborated with Dr. Emily Lydgate on food law and trade-climate integration.
Chloe co-chairs the UK Environmental Law Association’s Governance and Devolution Group and contributes to policy consultations. She completed a UKRI policy internship with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.
