Ching-Hua Chuan

Ching-Hua Chuan is an Assistant Professor of Interactive Media at the University of Miami. Her research bridges artificial intelligence, human-centered computing, and computational communication, with notable work in music information retrieval and augmented reality applications.

• Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Southern California (Viterbi School of Engineering)
• B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University

Her research focuses on human-machine communication, human-centered AI, and AI's societal impact. She also explores mixed reality systems and machine learning implementations across interdisciplinary domains.

Dr. Chuan's work includes NASA's S.U.I.T.S Augmented Reality Design Challenge. She founded the Women in Music Information Retrieval (WiMIR) initiative in 2011 to foster inclusivity in technical fields.
