Professor Chika Udeaja is a Professor of Project Management and Construction at London South Bank University (LSBU), serving as Postgraduate Research (PGR) Director in the School of the Built Environment and Architecture. Previously, he held roles as Programme Director for Construction Project Management at the University of Salford, Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University, and Research Associate at the University of Newcastle. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, MSc (DIC) in Concrete Structures from Imperial College London, and a PhD in Construction Management from LSBU.
His research focuses on digital technologies in urban simulation, procurement decision-making, knowledge management in construction projects, and sustainable development. With over 18 years of academic experience, he has contributed to 4 books and over 100 publications, supervised over 7 PhD students, and examined 25 candidates. He actively engages with industry through partnerships with CIOB and ARCOM, where he has served on the committee since 2009 and organized conferences and doctoral workshops.
His teaching includes courses like 'Procurement and Management of Construction' and 'Management of People and Information'. He also serves on the UKRI AHRC and EPSRC Peer Review College.
